Dr Pierre Le Bodic

I specialise in Integer Programming and have an interest in Machine Learning, Complexity and Approximation, Multi-Agent Path Finding, Energy, Transportation. My main passion is to design algorithms to improve the performance of Mixed-Integer Programming solvers for general MILP instances.

I joined Monash in 2016 as a Lecturer in the Optimisation team. Between 2012 and 2016 I was a postdoc in the school of Industrial and Systems Engineering in the Georgia Institute of Technology under Prof. Nemhauser. I obtained my PhD in 2012 from University Paris XI (Orsay).

Vincent CS Lee is currently an Associate Professor (equivalent to full professor of North American Academic Scale) with the Faculty of IT, Monash University and a Senior Member of IEEE. His research skills are on Adaptive Learning and Adaptive Inferencing.

Dr Yuan-Fang Li

Yuan-Fang is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Data Science & Artificial Intelligence (DS+AI), Faculty of Information Technology, Monash University. Yuan-Fang's research interests include knowledge graphs, natural language processing, knowledge representation & reasoning, representation learning (embedding) of networks/graphs. He has published more than 100 papers in leading conferences and journals.

Dr Tongguang Li

Tongguang Li is a Research Fellow at Monash University, specializing in the use of learning analytics to enhance adaptive instructional design and support self-regulated learning processes. His research primarily explores the development and refinement of adaptive learning environments through innovative software solutions. Tongguang is dedicated to improving educational outcomes by integrating technology and pedagogy.

I’ve been conducting research in the field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) for over seven years. My research focuses on topics such as novel and effective interactions in immersive spaces (e.g., VR, AR), spatial cognition and perception (different types of memory in HCI), and AI integration with Immersive Analytics.

Biography

Terrence W.K. Mak is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Data Science & AI of the Faculty of IT. He is located in the Optimisation disciple group under Prof. Peter Stuckey. He is an active member of the Monash Energy Institute and the Monash Data Futures Institute.

Prof Enes Makalic

Enes Makalic is a Professor of Machine Learning at the Department of Data Science and AI, Faculty of Information Technology, Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. He has a lifelong interest in theoretical computer science and a mission to enable global impact through quality teaching and research that emphasizes collaborative, inter-disciplinary partnerships. Since completing his PhD in machine learning, he has spent over 15 years working in Bayesian inference, information theoretic statistics and digital health.

Prof Kim Marriott

Kim is a Professor in Computer Science. After obtaining his PhD in 1989 he worked at the IBM TJ Watson Research Center until joining Monash in 1993.

He is the Director of Monash Assistive Technology and Society (MATS) Centre and Discipline Group Lead for Creative Technologies. He has over 200 research publications and is best known for his research into assistive technologies for people who are blind or have low vision and data visualisation.
