I'm a Lecturer in Creative AI working for the Faculty of Information Technology. I'm part of SensiLab (https://sensilab.monash.edu/). I earned an MSc in Software Engineering in 2008 and a PhD in Computing in 2013 from the School of Mathematical and Computer Sciences (MACS) at Heriot-Watt University, Scotland and have held consultancy and Research Associate appointments at BAE systems, Imperial College London and Goldsmiths, University of London. My focus is on the area of Computational Creativity, in particular on automating creative aspects of human reasoning processes.

Associate Professor Dr Thair Mahmoud is an experienced power systems and control specialist, with experience spans across a wide range of disciplines in power systems engineering: academic research, planning and studies, operation optimisation, consulting, construction and manufacturing. From working in a number of industry positions, the skills are focused on optimum operation and expansion planning of power systems at transmission, distribution & generation levels.

Enes Makalic is a Professor of Machine Learning at the Department of Data Science and AI, Faculty of Information Technology, Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. He has a lifelong interest in theoretical computer science and a mission to enable global impact through quality teaching and research that emphasizes collaborative, inter-disciplinary partnerships. Since completing his PhD in machine learning, he has spent over 15 years working in Bayesian inference, information theoretic statistics and digital health.

Kim is a Professor in Computer Science. After obtaining his PhD in 1989 he worked at the IBM TJ Watson Research Center until joining Monash in 1993.

He is the Director of Monash Assistive Technology and Society (MATS) Centre and Discipline Group Lead for Creative Technologies. He has over 200 research publications and is best known for his research into assistive technologies for people who are blind or have low vision and data visualisation.

Roberto Martinez-Maldonado is Senior Lecturer of Learning Analytics and Human-Computer Interaction in the Faculty of Information Technology at Monash University. A computer system engineer by training and skills, Roberto’s developments are aimed at finding the match between the best blended learning pedagogies and the advantages that emerging technologies may offer to provide continued support for learning on and off campus.

Professor Jon McCormack is the founder and director of SensiLab, a creative technologies research space that connects different disciplines together to explore the untapped potential of technology. His research spans multiple disciplines, including design, art and computer science. He is the recipient of more than 16 national and international awards for both artistic creativity and technical research, including the Eureka Prize for Innovation in Computer Science and the Lumen Prize for Digital Art.
