My scientific (mostly) blog napari, an n-dimensional image viewer in Python, is my major project these days scikit-image, an image analysis library in Python I help maintain

- PhD in Computational Biology at the University of Southern California (2003-2009), working on gene expression analysis.

- Postdoc at Janelia Research Campus working on image segmentation for micro-connectomics electron microscopy data (2009-2012).

- Research Scientist at Victorian Life Sciences Computation Initiative (VLSCI) / Melbourne Bioinformatics (2012-2018). During this time I became actively involved in the Scientific Python open source community, contributing to scikit-image and various other packages.

- Research Scientist at Monash Micro Imaging (2018-2020). During this time I worked on improving scikit-image for Monash scientists (and scientists more broadly!) and helped create napari.

- Senior Research Fellow at Monash Biomedicine Discovery Institute (2021-), where I work on improving tools for bioimage analysis.
