Dr. Isma Farah Siddiqui is a Lecturer in the Department of Software, Systems, and Cybersecurity at Monash University, Australia. She received her Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Hanyang University, South Korea, in 2018, where her doctoral research was honoured with the Best Graduate Thesis Award from the School of Computing. Throughout her academic career, she has been the recipient of multiple awards for excellence in research and teaching.
Dr. Siddiqui’s research lies at the intersection of Distributed Computing and Applied Data Analytics, with a particular focus on the Internet of Things (IoT), Edge Computing, Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), Location-based Services, and the development of sustainable smart environments. She has published more than 40 research papers in high-impact journals, underscoring the significance and visibility of her work in the global research community.
She serves as a Guest Editor for the Journal of Computer Systems Science and Engineering and contributes to several editorial boards. She is also an active member of Technical Program Committees for leading international conferences and regularly reviews for top-tier journals, including IEEE Access, IEEE Consumer Electronics Magazine, IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, IEEE Internet of Things Journal, ACM Transactions on Software Engineering and Methodology, and Nature Communications.
Dr. Siddiqui is a Senior Member of both IEEE and ACM, and continues to actively contribute to the advancement of emerging technologies through research, teaching, and service to the academic community.
