Dr Hourieh Khalajzadeh is a Research Fellow in the HumaniSE Lab at Monash University. Hourieh’s research is situated at the intersection of software engineering and data science. She is currently looking at the human-centric issues in Software Engineering by mining software repositories and analysing the discussions between developers, recognising how developers interact with each other and the users, observing how users interact with the applications, etc. She is also experienced in designing domain specific visual languages for different applications. Her BiDaML, big data modelling languages tool, helps multidisciplinary data analytics team members to communicate and collaborate through the data analytics software development life cycle from early business and requirement analysis till the development of the final product.
Hourieh is a member of IEEE and ACM, committee member of Monash Faculty of IT (FIT) early career academics (ECAs), and also volunteer in IEEE Women in Engineering Victorian Section (https://site.ieee.org/victorian-wie/).
