I am the inaugural Professor of Digital Health at Monash University. I'm based in the Faculty of IT but work with partners right across the University - both in Australia and in Malaysia -  and in the health industry at a local, state and federal level. 
 

I am seeking PhD - and other HDR - students interested in the technical aspects of FHIR - https://www.hl7.org/fhir/, and also those interested in the Synthea (Synthetic Patient Record generator) software stack -https://github.com/synthetichealth.
 

We work closely with the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine (VIFM) - https://www.vifm.org/ - and have a range of potential projects with them.
