My research focuses on affective computing and human-robot interaction. I am jointly appointed at the Human-Centred AI group of FIT and the Human-Robot Interaction group of Faculty of Engineering.

I am a lecturer in the Faculty of Information Technology and a member of the Centre for Learning Analytics at Monash (CoLAM). My research aims to enhance learning, teaching, and educational environments with the adoption of digital and data technologies. In particular, I investigate social-technical issues and pedagogical implications around the use of data in education from multi-stakeholder perspectives.

My research interests cover (Empirical) Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Digital Health. In my research, I aim at improving the reliability & quality of software systems and the productivity of development teams, and assess the effectiveness of development/ management practices. In general, I am very sceptic about claims about software engineering, e.g.

Delvin Varghese is a Lecturer within Action Lab in the Faculty of Information Technology at Monash University. His research focuses on the design of technologies for nonprofits and community organizations to support community voice and inclusion.

Professor Wallace ’s research interests lie in modelling and software platforms for planning, scheduling and optimisation problems. 

He is passionate about modelling and optimisation and the benefits they bring.  While data analytics enables us to understand the past, and forecast the future, optimisation enables us to act on this knowledge and turn it to profit – or at least a better quality of service at a cheaper cost!

Hao Wang is a Senior Lecturer with the Department of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Faculty of IT, Monash University. He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Stanford University, Stanford, CA, USA, and a Washington Research Foundation (WRF) Innovation Fellow at the University of Washington, Seattle, WA, USA.
