Data Science and Artificial IntelligenceMachine learning has recently made significant progress for medical imaging applications including image segmentation, enhancement, and reconstruction.
Funded as an Australian Research Council Discovery Project, this research aims to develop highly novel physics-informed deep learning methods for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and applications in image reconstruction and data analysis.
The PhD students will be working at Monash Biomedical Imaging and Faculty of Information Technology, Monash University. Monash Biomedical Imaging is one of the most advanced imaging centres in Australia, hosting many cutting-edge imaging equipment for biomedical imaging research. The Department of Data Science and AI, Faculty of IT is home to many world class research programs in artificial intelligence. The students will have opportunity to work with a team of world leading researchers.
